About our Community

Surrey Woods Townhome Association was organized in 1983 and incorporated as a Home Owner's Association (HOA).   Due to political and legal expectations and needs, the name of the community over the years has changed from Stone's Throw to Crystal Sands to now Surrey Woods.  None of this has changed the complexion or setting of the community as we have remained stable in purpose and direction.  We are a gated community located on 25th Street a few blocks south of Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce, Florida.  Our residences consist of single family units in a quadruplex arrangement of four units together under one common roof.  We have 124 units located in 31 buildings; 27 of the buildings are single story, 4 of the buildings are two story townhouses.  

 

The residents have excellent accessibility to many shops and stores, places of entertainment and dining, and to main thoroughfares north and south.  For our children's benefit, we are close to all school levels and parks and playgrounds abound close by. Within our community there is a pool and sun-bathing area, tennis and handball courts, and a picnic kiosk offering fun and recreational opportunities for all residents.  Continuing landscaping and lawn maintenance care keeps our environs attractive and inviting.  Over the course of the years of the community, there have been changes and improvements that have kept us at the leading edge of desirable places to live in Fort Pierce.  We have continued to be a safe and comfortable, self-governed community very completely described in the documents, rules, regulations, policies, and by-laws present in additional sections of this website and we encourage reference to them by all interested.
